Here at Pukka Radio we have been thinking about building a mobile version of our website for some time, and we'd like to hear your opinions on if you think it would be a good thing for us to spend time building. I have personally been looking into this for some time now, and feel that the station as a whole could benefit from having a mobile version of the site built and deployed, but if it doesn't get used then there would be no point in us having it made. After looking through our statistics for listeners and visitors to our site, we have noticed that many people use an Apple device (iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad) to visit our site and tune in on a daily basis, so going from that we think it could be beneficial to build a site to suit those specific devices. Right now the main things we'd like to get on the mobile site are the latest news section and out full schedule, maybe with some small graphics but nothing too big in size that it's going to put a strain on your 3G if you are browsing whilst out and about. We'd like to hear your feedback for this idea, if you'd use the site and also what handsets you'd use to browse the mobile site so that we can build it in the correct size for as many different handsets as possible. Again, we must stress this is an idea, and until we get more feedback we will not be spending time building this mobile website. Please now feel free to have a think about it and give as honest an answer as possible, ask questions and give us ideas of what you'd like to see on the mobile site, as you're the people that are going to be using it!!
